800 North High Street (Moxy)
When Crawford Hoying purchased a piece of sought-after premium real estate in Columbus, Ohio’s popular Short North Arts District, they had to ensure the building would drive revenue. As a 150,000-square-foot mixed-use development, the vendors include a coworking space, two restaurants, a parking garage and Marriott’s new, modern hotel brand, Moxy. Having had great success with Mitsubishi Electric’s CITY MULTI® Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) systems in other projects, Crawford Hoying leadership knew the technology was well suited for the 800 North High Street Building.
AC Marriott Bridge Park
When Crawford Hoying, LLC and Brackett Builders, a local real estate developer and general contractor, respectively, decided to open a hotel in Dublin, Ohio, they had two main goals: create an energy-efficient hotel with a luxurious, sophisticated atmosphere. After consulting with Mike Machemehl, commercial sales manager, Mitsubishi Electric LLC, Crawford Hoying was sold on the efficiency, system quietness and rebate eligibility of Mitsubishi Electric’s CITY MULTI® Water-Source Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) technology.
Lofts at Empire Yard
When developer Brooks Patterson, owner of Prodigy Woodworks, first came across a 120-year-old former ice and coal warehouse in Macon, Georgia, he saw the opportunity for transformation. He set out to renovate the building’s 65,000 square feet of space into 28 loft-style apartments, adding amenities such as a pool and rooftop patios, while thoughtfully incorporating its historical design elements. But the high ceilings that Patterson knew would be aesthetically appealing to future tenants presented challenges when it came to choosing mechanical systems. Luckily, Zoned Comfort Solutions® from Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC US (METUS) offered the right solution.

Olas Verdes Hotel
In 2013, when a surf shop in Costa Rica lost its headquarters, six patrons turned investors jumped in to build a hotel the school could partner with. "The team wanted to integrate sustainability from the ground up," noted the project manager, Carl Kish, co-founder of STOKE Certified (the first sustainability certification program designed for surf and snow resorts, destinations and events). With the project as a catalyst for sustainable development in the area, choosing high-quality, energy-efficient mechanical systems was a central focus of the group. Their selection: M-Series systems from Mitsubishi Electric.
